One of the events the Sunrise group has organized annually is the Seniors’: Christmas. Luncheon “and this. year marks the fourth - year the event will be heild.. Stringer said members of the group leave their businesses for a day so they, with the support of some committed spouses, can cook six turkeys and put on a lunch for 120 senior citizens free of charge. “These seniors don’t have to lift -a finger as table service is :provided by the Rotarians and an -- invited dignitary,”’ said Stringer. Last year’s distinguished waiter was West Vancouver Mayor Mark Sager. This year’s waitress of distinction will be Capilano-Howe - Sound MP Mary Collins. © This year’s luncheon event, which will be on Dec. 18, is sold out.
