Man guilty
of assault

A 22-YEAR-OLD Vancouver man
received a suspended sentence
Monday in North Vancouver pro-
vincial court and was placed on
probation for one year after he
pleaded guilty to assault and
mischief charges.

Steven Charles Wells was origi-
nally charged in connection with a
Nov. 8, 1987 incident in which a
femalc was assaulted and a win-
dow and venctian blinds damaged
after a bedroom window in an East
WSth Street apartment was smash-
ed.

In addition to the probation,
Wells was ordered to pay $180 in
compensation,
