A CHARGE OF accepting a bribe
has been jaid against a former
North Shore Credit Union
employee,

David William Stewart was orip-
inally charged in connection with a
Feb. 11 incident in which he is
alleged to have accepted a $3,500
secret commission from a person
doing business with the 1112
Lonsdale branch.

Appearing April 29 in North
Vancouver provincial court before
Judge J.K. Shaw, Stewart was
remanded to Aug. 19 to stand (rial
on the charge.

THE PRELIMINARY investigations into the privatiza-
tion of some of the province's major Crown corporations
is now complete, B.C, Crown corporations employ about
20,000 people with $3.8 billion in revenues and $17
billion in assets. Topping the list of corporations that
may be privatized are B.C.
