old North Vancouver youth,
following an incident in an
underground car park early
Thursday morning.

firefighters found paper had
been stuffed into the gas
tank filler of a late mode}
Pontiac Sunbird when they
arrived at the underground
car park of the North Shore
Community Credit Union in

Avenue after being called at
3a.m.

Fire damage was minimal
because of the speed of the
department's response but a
spokesman said: “If we
hadn't put it out it might
have got the tank going. We
got there too quick for
anything to get started.”

The car was a _ leased
vehicle, used by the credit
union.
