these days. People seem to becoming more
aware of the advantages of a trim, fit body.

This issue the Inquiring Reporter asks:

CHARGED WITH PARK ROYAL ATTACKS
‘Grabber’ suspect arrested

A 26-year-old man
suspected of being the
‘Grabber’ has been arrested
and charged by West
Vancouver Police.

A West Vancouver Police
spokesman said Stephen
Frederick Stanley, of Port
Coquitlam, has been
charged with two counts of
indecent assault.

Stanley was arrested
Thursday in connection with
indecent assaults on women
in the Park Royal shopping
centre between March and
December of last year.

‘Careless’
buyer

A North Vancouver man
whose buying habits were
descnbed by his lawyer as
being so“careless” they are
“reckless” was fined $500,
recently . on three counts
of purchasing goods under
false pretences.

Arthur Bell, aged 41. of
1142 Deep Cove Road, was

charged after three in-
cidents, which occurred on
February 17, February 24

and Apnil 14 of last year.

On the first two occasions,
Crown Counsel Ken
Beauchamp told North
Vancouver Provincial Court,
Bell bought items valued at
$165 and $92, from the
Radio Shack at the Westlynn
Mall and paid for them with
cheques on accounts that did
not have enough money to
cover the purchases

On the third occasion,
Beauchamp said Bell bought
$107 worth of candy from
the Laura Secord store in the
Capilano Mall and also paid
with a cheque that was later
returned marked ns f

phoned Bell about this and
Bell said he would be in the
followrnp week to pay for the
goods

The attacker became
nicknamed the ‘Grabber
because of his assault style of
grabbing at women’s breasts
during several assaults in
North Shore shopping malls
which started as long ago as

April last year and Burnaby.
The arrest was made in Stanley has been
