or another, likely quenched

without suitable fantare.

Owner Ken Hutchinson,
who bought the 45-room
hotel and beer parlor in 1985,
is bent on seeing the Avalon
out in style.

Make that a number of
styles,

Starting on April 1, the
Avalon will feature a Nostalgia
Days celebration of Avalons
Past starting with a 1960s
theme.

The 1970s will be relived
starting April 16. Nosralgists
from those eras might not
make it past the first nwo cele-
brations, but theme weeks for
the "80s and °90s will follow.

The celebration, which is
scheduled to wrap up on May
31, will feature live bands,

the thirses of most Norrh
Shore residents.

But the hotci, which
opened in 1962, has a late
spring date wit! th the wrecker’s
ball to make way tor a tour-
storey commercial and residen-
tial development.
