As was the case with last year's first annual Readers’ Choice Awards, response

North Shore residents have a pride in place that is uumatched throughout the
Lower Mainland.

They also have strong opinions on what are the hest features of this best place
in which to live.

Quality counts north of the inlet. News readers have registered their appreciation
for jobs well done and the recipients of that appreciation can now reap what is
all too rarely accorded ihose who invest their time pursuing quality: recognition.
In addition to the Readers’ Choice selections, the News has this year added a
collection of critics’ choices from the newspaper's editorial department.

The categories tackled by the newspaper's critics range from Best Streetscapes
and Best Informal Dining Fun House to Best Live Music Venue.

They are presented in the same spirit as has been invested by News readers in
