OCTOBER unveils
the start of
Vancouver’s Enter-
tainment Season
(October to April)
when the Lower
Mainland is alive with
entertainment and
accommodation rates
tend to be lower than
in the summer,

The 1996-97 season is
expected to draw 3.6 million
visitors, growth for these
months is expected to reach
close to 10 per cent over last
year,

CEO of Tourism Vancouver,

entertainment and sports
year-round.”

(33%) leading in this area.

iting BC. each year has
grown by more thna 80 per
cent since EXPO ‘84. In
1986, 15 million tourists vis-
ited B.C. Ten years later, that
number has risen to more
than 27 million.
