From the first time he saw the
world’s big fashion event, the Paris
pret @ porter collections, Altman
wanted to capture the circus-like
atmosphere that he felt. | guess if
throwing an international cast into
a messy script of mostly non-relat-
ed storylines counts as a circus,
then he succeeded.

. They are.all here — the beau-
ties, the flakes, the egomaniacs,
the effere, the big bucks and the
bizarre creations.

The romantic scenes between

ents), but the fabulous action
scenes us they search fora leg-
endary treasure will thrill every-
one. Gorgeous scenery, hissable
villains — especially Cary Elwes
as the ultimate British rotter —
and a nicely understated environ-
mental message round off an excit-
ing version of the oft-told story.
