Libraries also provide help in the use of comput- ers. West Vancouver Memorial Library has just updated their computer cat- alogue and has held several workshops for their library users. North Vancouver City and District Libraries pro- vide programs on how to use computers, inchiding the Internet, for beginners. The West Vancouver Seniors’ Centre and Silver Harbour Centre alse give computer courses. Many people tind that e- mail is a good way of reach- ing their children and grandchildren. One grand- mother f know told me that she hears from her family members much more often, now that she has learned to use e-mail. Another way of using the Internet is to “talk” to peo- ple from all over Canada and, in fact, all over the world, My son recently con- pected with an elderly cousin living in New York City, whom he had never met. This man was able to tell him about a number of his relatives and this has inspired us to start working ona family tree. There is also a group of Canadian seniors known as the A-Team, which is look- ing for more members.
