8 - Wednesday, August 19, 1998 — North Shore News north shore MAIL Councils know betier when it comes to pubs Dear Editor: Upon reading the one- sided article in) Sunday, August 2, edition written by Timothy Renshaw, also the vicious editorial on page 6, both pertaining to public house applications, for the first time in my life IT am angered cnough to write a let- ter to a newspaper. Both newspaper articles criticized and ridiculed deci- sions made by North Vancouver City and West have far more data and facts available to them on which to base informed, balanced decisions. This is their responsibility and which is why they were elected. Decisions should be made to benefit the majority of the citizens in each munici- pality. Any one can criticize (and they usually do!), but people belittle them s when chevy ridicule the efforts of honest, North Sbore citizens who spend many thankless hours working en our councils. The council members should be commended for a job well done over several years, and given our support and input, ner negative criti- cism.
