THE zecently reformed A Touch of
Brass will hold its first recitad in five
years,

The Vancouver-based ensemble performs this
Friday, Jan. 31, at Highlands United Church.

Originally formed in ‘76, A Touch of Brass
completed two recordings, performed more than
1,600 school concerts and toured Russia and
Singapore before disbanding in the carly “90s.

Founding, members David Sabourin (wules),

and Geoffrey Leader (French horn) are joined by
Steve Woodyard Gn trumpet and) Jeremy
Berkman on wombone.

Joining A Touch of Brass tor Friday's nerfor-
mance will be Highlands United musical director
George Roberts on organ and Bob Rebaghati on
percussion. The concert és a fundraiser for North
Vancouver secondary school music progsems.
