Mac’s robbed THE NORTH Vancouver RCMP are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Dec. 5 at the Mac's convenience store located at 4710 Capilano Rd. According to a police spokesman, at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 5 a male wearing a ski mask and car- rying a handgun entered the store. He ordered the clerk to open the cash drawer. A second male then entered. Both went behind the counter and took about 100 cartons of cigarettes. They also took cash, cheques and lottery tickets and left the store. The suspects have not been identified, but one of them is described as being 5'6’’ tail with a medium build. He wore a light-brown face mask, a long, dark jacket and carried a handgun. Information regarding this crime may be forwarded to the RCMP robbery section at 985-1311. Coke trial set A 50-YEAR-OLD salesman charged with criminal negligence in connection with the death of a West Van- couver woman has been scheduled to stand trial in B.C. Supreme Court on March: 22, 1993, on a charge of Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Laverne Darreli Vanlerberghe was charged with crimi- nal negligence causing death following a March 30, 1991, accident in which Ingaborg Von Schlack, 56, was killed . after she was struck by a car on Marine Drive in West Vancouver. I. Joseph Go, owner of Noah's Pet Ark at Park Royal South, said the dogs were stolen at approximately 7:45 p.m, The store owner said several youths distracted his wife while the others removed two dogs from an unlock- ed cage at the front of the store. Missing is a nine-week-old purebred Boston terrier and a nine-week-old Shih-Tzu X pekingese. The terrier is white and brown and has JN2 118A tatooed on an inner thigh.
