April 6: Eighteen members of NorthWest Vancouver Ringette team were named to the all-star Dynamo’s Gill guaranteed spot on nat’l team KAREN GILL from the West Coast Dynamos won the se- cond B.C. team trial for power tumbling last weekend which was held at SFU. The win will guarantee her a spot on the four-woman team to represent B.C. at the na- tional championships which will be held in Quebec City, May 17 to 20. Gill competed in the national novice category. Three other Dynamo athletes competing in the SFU event in- cluded Colette Kime, winner of the gold in level three tumbl- ing, Kathleen Marshall, bronze in level three tumbling and Christina Frewin, who won silver in level one. These four athletes will now prepare for the provincial championships to be held in Revelstoke in April. “The West Coast Dynamos were also represented in Rich- mond on the same weekend with five gymnasts par- ticipating at the Dogwood In- vitational. Dynamo club top results in- clude the following: Erin Frederick, first place vault, second place floor and eighth ail around; Laura Turner, second place vault, third place floor, fifth all around and ninth in bars; and Katie Halloran, sixth place floor.
