frames or removing existing windows and installing new energy efficient aluminum
windows with thermally broken Frames, vinyl framed or wooden framed window,
Don't overlook storm windows as an economical way to upgrade existing win-

dows,

Uperading exterior wall insulation can be achieved from inside by adding inside
styrofoam Wallmate Rigid Roam insulation giving an R-5 increase per inch. Use a
horizontal wood strapping application allowing new drywall to be installed when

complete.

Ceiling insulation should be increased to a minimum R-40 installing insulation
stops at the soffit vent areas. You should also draft seal all ceiling light fixtures and
weatherstrip the attic access door. For best results use blow-in insulation. For dratt
sealing information call Resources Canada in Ouawa and order the information
