passes away

WEST Vancouver resident Brad Holme, who
was credited with pioneering studio loft living
in Vancouver, has died following a two-year
battle with cancer.

He was 48 years old.

Born in Vancouver, Holme attended school in the city
and West Vancouver. He graduated from the University of
B.C. with a BA in urban studies and political science in
a 1972. His real estate career began in 1977 at Hyland
_ Turnkey, where he worked at the Vancouver, Calgery and
. Denver offices.

7 He returned to Vancouver in 1982 and developed 2 num-
. ber of sesidential projects as well as an office building for
United Management.

Holme established Pacifie City Land Corp. in 1989 and
the wademark “among many of the company’s 10 projects
was the studio left. With its 16-foot ceilings, it gave many
