EIGHT NEW developments
in the District of North
Vancouver were honored
with awards for design excel-
lence Monday night.

Design Panel, (ADP) and
Mayor Murray Dykeman pre-
sented the awards.

ject was noteworthy for the
integration of. buildings and
site design.

Deep Cove-Mount Seymour
Fire Hall :

The award noted that the
building design was “a good
example of getting an inter-
esting building out of some-
thing which - traditionally
focuses on function.”
Burrardview Housing Co-
op ;

. The award notes that: “the

removal of vehicles from the.

central area. of the . project
gives the area back to the res-
‘idents for play and interac-
tion”
Herbourview Park Viewing

The award states: “The

dling of high density despite
