Participants will compete in three of four events: 2.5 miles on the Stairmaster, 5.5 miles on the Lifecycle stationary bike, an Shooting Stars take inaugural Far North indoor soccer tourney THE TOP Metro teams in- vited to participate in the first Annual Far North In- door Women’s Soccer Tournament Jan. 5 included the North Shore Aztecs in the under 16/18 category, along with the North Shore Amazons and North Shore Shooting Stars in the under 14/15 category. The tournament was held at SFU where the Aztecs placed third in the under 16/18 category. The final championship game for the under 14/15 category was contested by the two North Shore teams, Amazons and Shooting Stars. The two teams were tied at. I-1 at the end of regulation time. @& There was no score in the over- time period which led to an ex- citing shootout between the two exhausted teams. After the first group 7" players from each team h their shots, the score was sii!’ and a further six players from each team were required to shoot before the final score of 10-9 was declared for the winners, North Shore Shooting Stars. In regular outdoor Metro league play, the North Shore Aztecs are in fourth place in Division 1, the Amazons are in first place leading Division 3 by two points and the Shooting Stars are undefeated with a record of 12 wins, no ties or losses, leading Division 4 by seven points (3% games ahead of their nearest rival).
