NEWS photo Tom Burley THE NORTH Vancouver Youth Band will kick off its 48th season Jan. 25 when it presents its first concert of this year, titled The Winter Pops Concert. Here conductor Dave Henderson gives a sneak preview of the band, founded in 1939. The band is a community-based group that pro- vides a musica! education to about 120 local youths in levels from begin- ner to advanced. The Jan. 25 concert will feature the senior band, which undertakes many varied public performances and tours in North America. Conducted by music director David Henderson, the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to all. Tickets are $3 for adults, $2.50 for children and seniors.
