THE CITY of North Vancouver will donate a Red Sunset maple tree to grace the Garden of the Province along the SkyTrain route, council decided Monday. The garden, set aside for com- munities to showcase their repre- sentative shrubs or flowers, already has a contribution from the District of West Vancouver. In deciding on the maple, Ald. Stella Jo Dean noted that the tree was being used extensively in the Lower Lonsdale revitalization pro- ject. “From now on the Red Sunset will be linked to the City of North Vancouver,’’ she said. “It’s one that we use a lot in our parks and such,’?
