Sports Indians club Bluebirds in lacrosse THE NORTH SHORE IN- DIANS won a thriller over East Van Bluebirds at Trout Lake Community Centre last June 11 in junior ‘B’ lacrosse action. In the game East Van tightened up a_ formerly shaky defense fought North Shore to a 2-2 first period draw. The Birds held an 8 to 6 lead after two periods. In a rough third period East Van sandwiched a pair of goals around one by the 24 - Wednesday, June 19, 1985 - North Shore News Shore for a 10-7 lead. Three consecutive North Shore goals tied the game at 10, only to have East Van score on a two on one break with 1:06 left on the clock. North Shore immediately went to work raining shots on the Bird net until Chuckie Martin, with his third of the night, sent the game into overtime. Van East took the only penalty of the extra frame.
