Troy Cook scored two outstanding touchdowns to lead the Lions to their victory over the Roughies Cook scored his first mayor in the second quarter when he intercepted a pass and ran SO yards into the Rougme end zone Then, on the last play of the half, Cook took the ball from lion's quarterback Jeff Gawran and strode another KO yards for his second touchdown Jeff Werrun started the lions scoring attack with a six yard plunge over center in the first quarter of play Neal Fraser played a strong game on, defense for the winners, while Gawran was an offensive standout in the 19-6 defeat for the Roughies game In other Minor football action, the Bombers squeaked by the Browns in a 7-6 defensive game Tim Yeo = scored the winning trouchdown with John Cox scoring the deciding convert The Bombers were led by Trevor Mayes. while Brett Creemer came up with the needed defense for dhe winning side Philip Mitchell put in a solid two-way effort for the Browns, scomng the lone touchdown and keeping the game close with his play on defence In Jumor Bantam play, the Chargers stumped the Stamps 20-6, behind the play Vee sae ‘Tel. 985-2131 of speedy halfback Martin Bauchman, who scored two majors. Quarterback Greg McClure rounded out the Chargers scoring attack with one TD. Mark Nelson and Danny Neola scored one conversion each for the Chargers The Stamps only major came on a 90 yard kickoff return by Kurt Larsen.
