Testimony to the more rugged
days of West Vancouver's past, the
dam's existence is threatened by its
own rotting condition and the 1990s
reality of liability potential for the
municipality in the case of flooding.

At a Feb. 13 meeting, West
Vancouver District Council agreed
to spend $6,000 to undertake a fur-
ther study of the dam and deter-
mine whether a relatively inexpen-
sive restoration of the dam could
