employed in B.C. in June 1989
versus June 1988. Retail sates dur-
ing the first four months of 1989
were up 9.3 per cent over the same
period last year. Housing starts
totalled 12,830 units for the first
five months of the year compared
to 9,470 for the same period a year
ago.
