ing the upcoming increase in fees
charged to Cedarbraoke Apart-
ment residents erred when it
reported annual maintenance fees
charged by the property’s owners
were $21,000 per month. The fig-
ure represents the total annual land
lease costs, which are a percentage
of the overall maintenance costs
and total $21,000 for the whole
year, not per month,

The 1,500 per. cent increase
reported, from $12.10 to $181.72

per month, represents the increase
in resident land lease costs only.
Monthly maintenance costs, based
on a°two-bedroom unit, are cur-
rently $195. The increase in land
lease fees would push that monthly
rate to $364 per month.

Figures used to estimate cost to
apartment residents to buy the
seven-acre property were examples
based on the assessed value of the
property only. The residents have
not yet made an offer to purchase
the property.
