Jeyaseelen entered the Southern
California Tennis Association
sanctioned K-Swiss Summer Grand
Prix tournament as an unseeded
player.

Jeyaseelan was playing in the
under-10 event, held at Universal
City’s Racquet Centre.

The win gave her 200 grand prix
points, which will eventually allow
her to play in the masters tourna-
ment slated for August.

Athens, Greece with his javelin
prowess.

The University of British Col-
umbia (UBC) student, who gradu-
ated from Sentinel Secondary
School in (985, is coached by Barb
Lyons of the Vancouver Olympic
Club. He won both a gold medal
in the javelin at the Canadian
Junior Track and Field Champi-
onships in St. John N.B. and a
berth on the Canadian Junior
Team,
