A20 - Wednesday, January 30, 1985 - North Shore News Positive strategies for teaching disabled PARENTS of children with learning disabilities are in- vited to register for a six- week series of evening workshops organized and conducted by the Interna- tional Foundation of Learning. The series is titled Positive Action Strategies for Parents of Children with Learning Disabilities. The foundation said each workshop will run from 6:30 te 9:30 p.m. on six con- secutive Mondays starting February 18 at the founda- tion’s offices, #336-5740 Cambie Street. (41st and Cambie), Vancouver. The workshop leader will be Geraldine Schwartz, Ph.D., a neuropsychoiogist and teacher. The workshops will deal with advances in the field of Jearning disabilities, brain function and new rehabilitation procedures, understanding and use of psycho-educational assess- ment, behavior manage- ment and methods and use with learning materials for children with disabilities.
