Body recovered

WEST VANCOUVER Police recovered the body of & man
in his early 20s Monday at the Nelson Creek bridge.

The police were catled in the afternoon when a motorist
observed a man sitting on the railing of the bridge. When
police arrived at the scene at about 12:50 p.m. they found a
body below the bridge.

The investigation continues. Foul play is not suspected.

Many new jobs expected

schedule, but on budget, said Ward.

‘A 61-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was stabbed in the
shoulder on Oct. 8 after claiming to be involved in an argu-
ment with a man in the 1700-bleck of Chesterfield Avenue
in North Vancouver. '

Mohammad Taher Ghodsi, 74, of North Vancouver, was
charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with
# weapon in connection with the incident, according to a
North Vancouver RCMP spokesman.

Police say the victim was treated at Lions Gate Hospital.

WEST VANCOUVER Police arrested and charged 22-year-
_old Robert Michael Chapoux of Langley with possession of
stolen property over $5,000 after Chapoux was found to be

driving a stolen 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass on Oct. 13.
Chupoux was stopped by police during a vehicle safety
check on the Upper Levels Highway at Argyle Avenue. An
‘officer found the licence plate on the car did not belong to
the vehicle. The car was reported stolen in Montreal Oct. 6.
