WEST VANCOUVER
School District 45 will be
one of three B.C. school
districts to participate in a
co-operative project with
IBM to develop math and
science literacy in, _ Canadian
schools.

As a byproduct of District 45°s
participation in the partnership,
the district. will keep $21,818
worth of software and hardware,
according to West. Vancouver
school superintendent Doug
Player. .

The project will use leading-
edge computer hardware and
focus on mathematics.

Starting early in 1993, the pro-
ject will cover teacher training,
classroom program -implementa-
tion and sharing knowledge-based
discoveries among students and
teachers. ,
