Friends of garden hold stem sale

THE FRIENDS of the Garden
(FOGs) are having a Dried Stem
Sale on Sunday, August 23, from
1! a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Garden
Reception Centre, 6804 S.W.
Marine Drive.

There will be free demonstra-~
tions of dried flower arranging at
12 noon and 2:30 p.m.

The flowers have all been
grown, harvested and arranged by

the FOGs, and all proceeds from ©

the sale will go to benefit the
garden.

Flower arranging supplies such
as moss, Oasis, wire, tape, etc. will
be available in the Shop in the
Garden.

Sunday Aug. 23 is also the final
Sunday Tour of the Garden, led.
by Judy Newton and David Tar-
rant. Tour times are 10:30 a.m.
and 1:30 p.m. Tour cost is includ-
ed in admission to the Garden:
$3.75 for adults, $1.50 for Seniors
and students.
