A knock-out musical that spoofs
the turmoil in Hollywood when the
sound revolution arrives.

Gene Kelly is half of a popular
silent romantic team. Jean Hagen,
as Kelly’s partner, threatens their
careers with her shrill Bronx ac-
cent. Using pest Debbie Reynolds
and Donald O’Connor’s idea, a
plan is concocted to save their hi-
tarious disaster of a sound
romance.

Highlights include the title
number, the Broadway Lullaby
and O’Connor’s gymnastic ‘‘Make
‘Em Laugh”.
