Hot tapes held NORTH VAM- COUVER’S Red Hot Video was one of a number of the com- pany’s outlets raided by lawyers and baliffs over the weekend. The store was raided and videotapes seized as part of a copyright infringement suit. The suit has been launch- ed by Richard Aldrich and Tricolor Video, a videotape production company. Les Brown, one of the principals of Tricolor Video in North Vancouver, would not comment on the situa- tion. ‘I’m going to have to decline comment for the time being,’’ Brown said Tuesday when contacted by the News. ‘‘Because this is a civil action, I wouldn’t want to do anything to jeapordize our case.”’ Brown said no date has yet been set for the B.C. Supreme Court civil case but that he expects one to be established within the next few days. = Six months a a = in jail A VANCOUVER man found guilty of beating a fisheries officer at the Capilano Hatchery in August has been sentenced to six months in jail. Nineteen-year-old William Donald Chow, a resident of 4356 Knight St. in Van- couver, was found guilty and sentenced to the jail term in North Vancouver provincial court Friday. Chow was arrested and charged after a fisheries of- ficer was badly beaten while trying fo arrest three men for poaching salmon at the hat. chery just before midnight on August 14. One of the other men in- volved in the incident was in- jured when he stumbled over a cliff while being chased by a second fisheries officer.
