is a Short summary:

Where is “Lemonade”?
Did you sell her? Why don't

you write about her any
more?
Answer:

Lemonade 1s alive and
well and living in’ my
driveway. She also runs

around when she’s needed to
get groceries or deliver my
columns to the editor. Just
because her signal hghts and
emergency brake have
packed-in, don’t think she
won't run. Ask anyone who
saw us grinding sideways up
Dollar Road the other day,
dumng one of our recent

snowstorms. And. that
shivering arm = you saw,
signaling turns was mine.

No-one else will drive her.
Question:

What was the best trip you
took during 1981? Why?
Answer:

For me. there is no “best”.
I'm a gypsy at heart and my
best tip starts as the pilot
says, “We are cleared for
take-off". The worst starts
with, “hey, Mom, I haven't
got time to take out the
garbage. You'll have to do
it.”

Where are you going next?
Answer:

I feel that the question 1s
one that people ask as a

conversaiion opener. Next

His name is Pablo - and

yes, I'll see the whole family
because theyll be stuck with
me for the duration. From

How does your family

manape when you're away
Answer:

Quite well. When it comes
to housekeeping, cooking
and cat-sitting, they do as
well or beter when I'm gone.

Who looks after your kids?
Answer:

They look after them-
selves and get. very
protective of their Dad. He
rides-herd over the girls but,
I've got to tell the truth -
they spoil the hell out of
him.

YES, BARB ADMITS, there are places I'd rather vacation than Mexico, it's not that
Mexico isn't as lovely as this picture shows, it's just that she feels intimidated there.

Spain. We _ rented an
apartment for a month on
the Costa del Sol -
Torremolinos. It was
heaven. Jt was heaven. We

buzzed all over the place ina
rented Siat, shopped at the
markets and |] cooked for
two instead of a multitude.
When [| didn't feel lke
cooking, we ate in some of
the nicest restaurants - I] can
still hear the guitars and
smell the orange blossoms.
Mmmm.

Where have you not been
that you're anxious to visit.
Answer:

Two places - ng, three. I
want to combine a visit to
Egypt and Greece and can't
wait until I go to Hong Kong.
But, give me the opportunity
and I'll be happy to go to
Poland or Afghanistan. My
Passport's up to date and my
suitcase is packed.

How can you do it? I get
frightened when 1 think of
going to Toronto.
