Q. How should I care for
my Wedding Dress?
1. Have your gown com
pletely cleaned before storage.
Any food or beverage stains
that may happen to be on it
sail become visible when
stored.
2. Remove any rubberized per-
sptration shields or other
padding which can deteriorate
and cause stains.
3. Do not store your gown in
the basement, since dampness
can cause mildew. Likewise, do
not store the gown in the attic -
it becomes too hot ia the sum-
mer. Also, protect your gown
from Ught. Keep your gown in a
cool, dry dark place for best
results.

4. Special protective boxes are
taanufactured for the storage of
wedding gowns. These help to

to dazzle the fashionistas. The
mood is urban and gritty.

Demeulemeester’s usually
stark colour scheme of black
and white is livened up by
purple military-inspired over-
coats, lime green papery tops,
floor-sweeping orange skirts,
and yellow knit wraps.

Donatella Versace is irre-
pressibly sexy. Colours are
bright, breezy and bold, cen-
tred around aqua, blush, cher-
ry and yellow. Chiffon dresses
come in graphic, Pucci-
inspired prints while sheer
embroidered columns are
embellished with palettes and
optical motifs to fabulous
effect. Versace evokes

strength, attitude and a defi-
ant calm.

Matthew Williamson
proved once again that he is
the King of colour with a rich
jewel palette that is becoming
his trademark. Turquoise,
fuchsia, kelly green, acid yel-
tow and flaming red are paired
with black. Cherry cashmere
knits feature black hand bead-
ing. Decoration and colour
unite in a stained glass effect
with cut-away coats and dress-
es with multi-coloured silks.

What might have been bad
taste is in fact gloriously over
the top. If you can’t afford a
patchwork Fendi coat in pur-
ple, pink and white or a Fendi
logo tote, you can buy a pair
of logo tights, but put your
name on the waiting list now.

Colours add an important
edge to a wardrobe. With an
electric palette of hot pinks,
poison yellows and the sea-
son's ubiquitous purples (all
combined at one point ina
delirious camouflage print),
you can indulge in a psyche-
delic disco parade.

Whether you choose the
traditional fall colours or
decide to go out on an limb,
remember that this season is
all about mixing and match-
ing. Vibrant colours present
pure glamour to your image
while looking very pretty and
most importantly young.
