roots for deeper sound

Telecaster knows how to work the blues.

Suc Foley plays the Orpheum July 1 as part of the du Maurier
International Jazz Festival Vancouver, opening for hotshot blues
guitarist Jonny Lang.

Otrawa-born Foley originally burst on the scene with a clean
blast of burning electric licks and sexy vocals. .

The first two albums, Young Girl Blues and Without A Warning,
were produced by blues and roots label Antone’s studio master and
blues guitar ace, Derek O'Brian. The early stuff crackled.

The fatest, released on the Shanachie label, is called Love Comin’
Down. The dise is produced by Colin Linden and is stacked with a
group of great players hand picked by Linden for the project.
Among the seasoned musicians that give the music its textured
nuances: drummers Michel Pouliot (kd Jang, Bruce Cockburn),
