Suc Foley plays the Orpheum July 1 as part of the du Maurier International Jazz Festival Vancouver, opening for hotshot blues guitarist Jonny Lang. Otrawa-born Foley originally burst on the scene with a clean blast of burning electric licks and sexy vocals. . The first two albums, Young Girl Blues and Without A Warning, were produced by blues and roots label Antone’s studio master and blues guitar ace, Derek O'Brian. The early stuff crackled. The fatest, released on the Shanachie label, is called Love Comin’ Down. The dise is produced by Colin Linden and is stacked with a group of great players hand picked by Linden for the project. North Vancouver will see the biggest concentration of free music this side of the inlet at the Waterfront Park main stage. The Canada Day celebration in North Vancouver is produced by the Millennium Celebration Committee, including the North Shore Arts Commission, the North Vancouver Recreation Commission, the Rotary Club, the Canada Day Committee and the Canada Day Parade Committee.
