FASHION’S FASCINATION with Eastern countries continues this ial, with

a mix of ethnic prints and sun-drenched colors in breezy fabrics.

Designers in the Westert world create a modern primitwe mood,
combining cultures as distant and diverse as Bolivia, Nepal, Peru.
Thailand, Guatemala, India and South Africa. There are several FeasOns
for this heat wave of exotic clothing, which has been prevalent for
several years and shows no sign of cooling down.

As the world becomes smaller, with more people exploring faraway
societies on a regular hasis, itis a natural progression to adopt differing
traditions that will enrich our lifestyle.

We are inspired by those around us, borrowing their ideas while
also influencing them.

Fashions from the sunny side of the world are particularly
attractive to the West Coast hecause lightweight fabrics in muted
tones are practical for year-round wear.

Natural fibres of cotton, rayon and silk are woven inte textures
