Public invitec to brainstorm DR. MARLENE Hunter -once joked her husband should form a company called Ideas Incorporated because he always had **7,001 ideas about everything.” By KIM PEMBERTON News Reporter After mulling it over, Hunter and her husband decided it wasn’t such a bad idea ~- only it wouldn't be a business as such but an op- portunity to create a local “think tank.” For a three-month trial basis, they’ll be holding ‘‘brainstorming”’ sessions in West Vancouver on the last Thursday of the month for anyone who is interested. Hunter, her husband Jones Redner and psychologist Alana Schroeder will act as ‘‘provokers”’ during these sessions. “4J¢’s for people who are stuck with any kind of project — how to approach a term paper, should I buy a house — and want an in- novative way to get out of a rut. The best ways to get ideas is to brainstorm,”’ said Hunter. Hunter said she would like to see as many as 20 people taking part in the informal 24-hour session. Hunter said there are only two rules for participants: anything goes, no matter how bizarre the suggestion and no arguing. “Sometimes it’s not what people say that is used, but what it trig- gers to someone listening,’ she said. “Once the ideas get flowing it’s immense fun. People come up with creative thought they didn’t even know they had.”’ The cost for participants is $15. Pre-register at least one week in advance, by calling 926-5910.
