From March 26 through November 29, the Insurance Corporation of British Col- umbia is taking the Seat Belt Convincer to 36 com- munities as part of a province-wide tour. The concept of a province-wide scat belt demonstration program emerged from the en- thusiastic public response to Convincer appearances at last summer's Pacific Na- tional Exhibition in Van- couver, and follow-up ap- pearances on Vancouver Island. Organized by the Road Safety Department of the In- surance Corporation, the up- coming demonstration pro- gram will visit every arca of the province. The public will also be in- vited to view a brief audio- a ' é : Pree nr. Treen visual presentation on the importance and proper use of seat belts and approved child restraints. In addition, a display il- lustrating the many aspects of seat belt use will located near the Convincer at each tour location. Seat belt and child restraint brochures will also be available to the public. “The favourable response to last year’s program led to the formation of a province- wide Convincer tour,” said Hugh Earle, Manager of the Insurance Corporation's Road Safety Department. “We feel the program we will be presenting is educa- tional and of benefit to the public throughout the pro- vince.
