Our resident whales, some — of which return year after year, spend their time in specific feeding grounds, making sightings excellent! Autumn sees our whale population declining, particularly after October, as many of the residents join the Gray Whales journeying from the Bering Sea to Mexico on their winter migration. September and October can be gvod months for sightings though, as the whales bask on the surface (full from eating all summer) and sometimes become playfu! prior te their trip south. As with any wildlife viewing, one tour may see lots of whales and exciting behavior, and the very next tour may see only one whale resting on the surface. Either way, our experienced naturalist guides will ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience.
