Capilano River Regional Park. Live music at the Cleveland Dam will start you off. There are eight interpretive stations along the way, so you can trace the life cycle ot the saimon while enjoying the splendor of the swift-flowing river. GVRD naturalists will greet you at the Hatchery to answer your ‘fishy’ questions. The waik follows woodland and mountain trails fram the Cleveland Dam along Capilano Pacific Trail to the finish at Ambleside Park. The walk includes opportunities {to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge, stop off for ‘fishy’ face painting, and win spot prizes. To get to the Walk’s start, bus or drive to Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver. Meet under the readerboard at the South Mail, then hop abeard the shuttlebus for a short ride to Cleveland Dam. (Sorry, no dogs or bus passes please). There is a small registration fee of $1.50 for adults and 75 cents for children, with the proceeds going to Salmonid Enhancement. The route crosses the Lions Gate Bridge through Stanley Park, along Beach Avenue, over the Burrard Bridge inte Vanier Park and to the pool at Kits Beach. An entry fee of $20 pre-registration, $25 post-registration includes a Tshirt, post race snack and bus trip back to Ambleside for the awards ceremony.
