A MULTI-IMAGE collaborate
video installation called World
Wide Skin Deep, will be showing
at Presentation House in North
Vancouver, June 23 to July 23.
The video is a compilation of
audio and visual maierials of ar-
tists from Mexico City, Berlin,

World Wide Skin Deep consists
of six video viewing stations. Each
station simulates a city by emitting
layered and fractured radio sounds
and street pictures taken from that
place.

John Sage, art educator at
Westover School in North Van-
couver, coordinated his pupils’
participation in the Dream-Makers
program. Sage was awarded a cer-
tificate in recognition of quality art
instruction, ~

ing.

hears that which he or she
recognizes on the basis of personal
proclivities and sensibilities.

The work provides an opportu-
nity for the viewer to explore ar-
tists’ perceptions of six urban en-
vironments.

The participating artists are
Guillermo Gomez-Pena, Emily
Hicks, Thomas Marquard, Chum-
pon Apisuk, Kamol Phaosavasdi,
Esther Shalev-Gerz, Jochen Gerz,
Brett Turnbull, and Canadian
Myra Davies.
