took part in the fourth annual
West Vancouver to Kitsilano
Beach Coho Run Sunday.

Race organizer Donna Macken-
zie said Monday the run attracted
80 more registrants than last year.
“It was a great success. We had
people from the States, the Interi-
or, Powell River. It’s become a
very prestigious run. People come
back every year because they just
love the route.’’

Mackenzie said this year’s race,
unlike the 1986 Coho Run, did
reise money. The total had not
been finalized to press time Mon-
day.

There were four men’s and four
women’s run categories.

Of the 510 registrants,
finished the race Sunday.

The 14-kilometre run, started at
Ambleside Beach, continued over
the Lions Gate Bridge through
Stanley Park to English Bay and
on to Kitsilano Beach.
