Kot, who has lived in West Vancouver since Jast September with his wife Terri, was lured from his previous post as senior vice-president and general man- ager of the Marlin Travel Group Ltd. to help White Spot fran- chise-out some of its locations. He said that White Spot’s ex- pansion plans call. for creating franchise opportunities for 26 of its existing 39 restaurants. One of the White Spot resta- urants to be franchised out is the company’s Upper Lonsdale loca- tion, Kott has more than 20 years of experience in senior management and started out in the business world with the T. Eaton Com- pany. He last worked in Van- couver in the early 1980s for Eaton’s before he was lured away '- by Marlin. . While with Marlin, he directed the company’s national corporate expansion plan through an ac- ’ quisition and franchising program. ’ Before being moved out east by Eaton’s and Marlin, Kott and his wife lived in Vancouver.
