The Carson Downey Blues
Band have been playing in
Adlantic Canada for more than
a decade but it took one night
to change the course of their
careers.

1997 East Coast Music
Awards and knew right there
he had to sign the band tw his
label. The challenge would be
to get down on tape what the
audience experienced live.
Carson Downey was more
than up te the task. “E just do
what I always do when playing
live,” says the band’s leader. “1
try to get my live feel right in
the studio otherwise we can’t
feed off of one another. What
we have to do is live off the
floor. I need my bass player
