givers are invited to participate
ina variety of free seminars and
activities taking place from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.

The Bay has teamed up with
national safety partners and will
hold the event at Bay stores
across Canada.

At The Bay, Park Royal, a
number of community-based
safety organizations will pro-
vide customers with tips and
safety products. These include:
@ West Vancouver Police’s
child identification program,
which last year registered 100
children at The Bay;

B West Vancouver Fire
Department's fire prevention
unit;

M@ St. John Ambulance’s infant
and child CPR program, which
will hold demonstrations and
supply information about regis-
tration;

@ Health Canada which will
supply information on nursery
product satety;

® Rona Kinetics, injury pre-
vention research specialists in
child passenger safety and bicy-
cle helmet safety;

& Girl Guides of Canada, Lions
Area, will offer face painting.

Children will be treated to
fun activities including safety
mascot appearances, clowns,
games, prize draws and a
colouring contest.
