Metz. who grew upon the
North Shore and graduated
trom the Furniture Design
and Construction program at
Sheridan College in Ontario,
creates: pieces intended to
complement their architce-
tural setting.

Many of them, made in all

Metz does most of his
work for private clients and
during APEC he created a

Desiqn, and his pieces sit
alongside the paintings of
North Shore artist. Joan

The gallery is located at
M414 Argyle Ave. in Wesr
Vancouver and is open trom
11 am. to 5 pam. every day
except Monday. Admission is
free.

public by appointment at the
new AIBC offices at The
Architecture Céntre, a newly
renovated heritage building,
located across from Victory
Square ar 440 Cambie
Street.

During the past 25 years
that they have been providing
this free service, architects in

the Lower Mainiand have met
with thousands of homeown-
ers to discs renovations,
additions and the design and
construction of home build-
ine projects,

During the appointment,
architects share their expertise
on such topics as:

The public is encouraged
to bring blueprints, plans,
drawings, photos, ideas from
magazines and or other items
that may assist in conveying
their project vision turing the
session.

It is beyond the scope of
these sessions to provide
designs, drawings or cost esti-
mates. Homeowners will not
be solicited for business.
