of heart after he took
off with more than
$7,000 that was sup-
posed to go into a
night deposit bank slot.

Sean Allen Hermiston, 27,
was working as a clerk at the
self-serve gas station when he
took off with the night-
deposit money to Ontario last
August, according io the

North Vancouver RCMP.

After Hermiston made
calls to. his: partner who was
pregnant at the time, police
say he returned to .B,C, He
brotpht back less than $4,000
of the stolen gas station
money,

On June 13, Hermiston

pleaded = guilty ia North
Vancouver provincial court to
stealing the money from the
Chevron station,

Judge Jerome Paradis sen-
tenced Hermiston to a. six-
menth conditional jail sen-
tence, He is required to pay
$3,680.16 restitution,

The judge | required
Hermiston to regularly attend
and participate in a Gamblers’
Anonymous program.

Hermiston also reveived
18 months’ probation.
