The improvements include spending on drinking water and wastewater (treatment systems, as well as new hospital construction and equipment purchases. The $278 in GVRD taxes paid by average North Vancouver City residents will rise by $3 to $281 in 1996. North Vancouver District tax- payers will hand the GVRD $2 more for a total tax bill of $381. Meanwhile, West! Vancouver taxpayers will pay $455, a $9 increase over last year's bill for GVRD services. . There is no residential tax increase for GVRD programs such as air quality management, region- al parks, strategic planning, emer- gency phone service, municipal labor relations and general gov- ernment.
