Gunman
kidnaps,
robs NV

A NORTH Vancouver man,

epping out of his car to go
crab fishing in’ West
Vancouver on Sunday, was
confronted by a man holding <
gun.

The gunman forced tie would-
be fisherman to turn over his wallet
and get back into his car parked
near the 1400-block of Argyle
Avenue, according to a West
Vancouver Police spokesman.

The gunman forced the man,
age 39, to drive to Vancouver. After
approximately. 45 minutes: of dri-
ving through the city at. about 1
a.m., the man was forced to with-
draw some money from a bank
machine in the 4400-block of Main.
Street, according to police.

The gunman took off on foot.

He is described as. being .a
Caucasian male, 18 to 22 years old,
1.65 m (5°5") and 68 kg (150 Ibs.).

He was clean shaven with black
collar-length hair. The gunman was
wearing a black baseball cap,
charcoal black jacket and dirty
white running shoes.

Meanwhile. on Friday in North
Vancouver, a
Station cashier said he was told not
to turn around or he would be shot
during a 3:30 a.m. heist.

The cashier, age 25, said he was
working on a display inside. the
store when he felt something cold
