Vancouver with her two sons.

In 1956 she enrolled in the Van-
couver School of Art where she
studied under people like Jack
Shadbolt, Don Jarvis and Peter
Aspell.

Of everyone, Shadbolt had the
greatest influence. He taught her
persistence -— not to give up ona
painting until she was completely
satisfied with what she had done.

“Asa student, she was highly
